SiteCountŠ1997

SiteCount is a web site traffic monitoring, reporting and analysis tool. SiteCount captures data about each and every visitor to your web site including browser type, operating system, IP address, and time and date stamps. SiteCount can also capture search engine key words used to find your site, the last page visited and the link used to exit your site. From a web site management perspective, SiteCount has the ability to track web page errors and external links to your pages.

Individual web site uniqueness such as meta-tags and external authorized linkages require that SiteCount be customized for each web site that it is monitoring. This can be achieved by Latent Technology Group's system engineering services, a Latent Technology Group partner or the client's in-house technical staff. A working knowledge of web analysis techniques, C, report generation in the selected report generating package and Windows NT is absolutely necessary for the client to receive the full value of the product.

Designed to work specifically with Oracle's Web Application Server for Windows NT, SiteCount is highly configurable in terms of the web traffic related variables that it monitors. Written in C, SiteCount's web traffic data can be exported, for reporting purposes, as a comma delimited file for importation into virtually any database, spreadsheet or statistical engine including:

  • Express, Oracle's OLAP product, for merging with other related sales and marketing data to give clients a true picture of the value of their web site.
  • Microsoft's Excel and/or Access for quick compilations and reporting.
  • SAS and/or SPSS
